This painting is about the validation and significance of conscientious objections. It's about the choices we make, particularly those at key junctions in our lives as we reflect on the merit of our personal contributions to the world; our purpose and place inside society. Invariably at some point in our lives we realize that we've "grown up" and begin to feel, and perhaps fear, that rather than instigating meaningful change, we may have become a reflection of the world we so intended to make our mark of improvement on. These are people I know, like and respect. People I'd want to think of friends.
