Life
Drawing, Ballerina, June 2006 by Jane Hoople, Artist Medium: drawing, aqua crayon 19.5"h x 22"w Availability: Available This winter I started attending an open studio for life drawing each week at NPCC, to start drawing the figure again in addition to finding that sense of objectivity that used to provide me a counter-balance to juxtapose the world with. Of course, I still was sorta the black sheep, cause I wasn't doing it the way everyone else was. But since no one seems to mind, it's ok. For me the drawings are about capturing the movement and feeling of the model, or a reflection of that space in time they forcibly hold themselves still, on display, forced into the limelight for cash. |
